My Question or Issue

Hey, I just made my account yesterday and when I got back on the next day my password/email wasn't working even though I typed it in right, so I reset the password and successfully signed in, however, now it keeps randomly signing me out even though I ticked stay signed in. It just did it now randomly without me even closing my browser down prior while I still had my page with my music opened previously. I already changed my password just incase, but considering how new my account currently is and how I don't have my Spotify profile displayed/linked anywhere other than it being connected with my discord account, but not shown on my profile, I don't think the issue is someone else breaking into my account or anything. May just be an automated security bug, since I got those on other things today despite there not being any trace of devices I didn't recognize on my signed in list. I'm not using a VPN or anything and I didn't have a VPN turned on during making my account or using it.

Hi there @Powpowgoesboom,

Thanks for reaching out.

Is this on all devices or only on this one? And is it only in the Opera browser? If you haven't tested this, please do so.

In general, consider clearing all cache and cookies related to Spotify and trying again. Also, I know the Opera GX browser has some special performance optimization features like cache clearing or a system resource limiter, so consider double checking if those are causing it. Make sure that Spotify cache isn't getting automatically cleared, as that may delete the login cookie and log you out. The web player not having access to enough RAM may also be the cause.

Let us know how it goes.

The issue seemed to of stopped on it's own for some reason. I haven't done anything other than just wait it out and keep signing back in. It hasn't given me the issue again in a bit. Thanks for the response and I only use it on my browser, I don't use it on any other type of platform/device so I wouldn't know if the issue was persisting on other devices with the same account.

Thanks for getting back with this info @Powpowgoesboom and it's great to hear that the issue stopped 🙂

If it resurfaces, it'd be great if you could test with the suggested steps by @Yoan here and if none of them make a difference, we'll see what else we can suggest.

In the meantime, the Community's here if you need help with anything else.
