I unlinked Facebook months ago but my profile photo still won't remove.

Solved!

I unlinked Facebook months ago but my profile photo still won't remove.

I unlinked Facebook back in October. I also removed it as a login method in my Spotify settings. The desktop app allows me to remove the photo easily, but once I close the app and reload it, the picture reappears. If I try to remove it via the mobile app, the option is greyed out. How can I revert back to having no profile picture at all? Nothing I have tried seems to work.

Thank you for your advice.

It appears to have resolved itself overnight after I removed Facebook as a login method. The photo was initially still there for a few hours so I am assuming it just needed some time to register the settings update.

Hey @gabi_0619,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

That's an odd behavior since the profile picture should stay removed. So first, we'd recommend logging out from your account on the mobile device while you remove/change the profile picture. After that, log your account back into your mobile device to see if it made any difference.

Also, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on your mobile device by following the steps mentioned in this article to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
