Change Email of Account to Email from a cancelled account.

I signed up for a paid Spotify account using a work email and have been using it for years. I realized that I also had a free Spotify account using my personal email, I closed that account.

I just tried changing the email address on my paid account from my work email to my personal email but am getting an error saying its existing email. Will I at one point in the future be able to make this switch?

Yes, you should eventually be able to make the switch.

I understand why you couldn't immediately reuse the email address from a recently closed account. It typically takes a bit of time for the system to fully disassociate the email from the closed account - it could take a few days, maybe a week.

So my suggestion is that you wait some time before trying again. Let me know how it goes!
