I would like to give Spotify my money: Family Plan: Can't change country

Hey there

 

I would like to use the family plan.  I have a premium plan.  My account and credit card billing address are in the USA, though the mobile number in my account is Argentina.

 

My girlfriend has a free Argentina account.

 

Neither of us can change our country.

 

I invited her to the family plan and received this message

 

We couldn't add you to the Family plan as your account needs to be based in the same country as the Family plan owner.

 

So, I can't change my country.  She can't change hers.  I'm paying for Family Plan but can't use it.

 

What can I do?  The ideal would be to put her on a USA account, since that's where the account is being paid.

 

Help?  Time for Google Music?

Hi,

As far as I know, currently people in different countries cannot be on the same Spotify Family plan 😕

It's true that all accounts on the family plan have to be in the same country.

 

If you are paying for the family plan and can't use it,

 

I suggest you contact support so they can help you

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.

 

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

we live together and both have full residency in the same country, so we're in the same country.  i just need the accounts to reflect reality
