Issue with device name, Playback issue on chrome browser

Issue with device name, Playback issue on chrome browser

Hi,

Issue with the account. It keeps happening that the acocunt starts having erros and the musci stops. Also I see day by day that it gets buggier and not working properly.

Anyway I just checked and now the Device name is DN2103. It changed recently as the name of the device always was the name of my phone Nord 2. Also the web player keeps crashing showing me something went wrong, please reload the page.

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

 

Since these errors are happening on both your web player and phone, the issue might be network or account related.

 

Can you let us know if you're using any kind of VPN or a private network, like a school/ work network?

 

Something you can try is to create a free account for test purposes and use that for a couple of days to see if you'll encounter the same issues.

Hope you are well.

My apologize if I made it look like there were issues with the phone as well.

The app on the phone works perfect but when the app is also working on the web player that changes. For the internet connection I can advise that it preatty ok I've just checked it and has a constant 100 mb/s so I do not think that is the issue, also this is a home network so no issues there as well.

As for a VPN, no I am not using one.

Just to be 100% sure I've contacted my network provider to check the network. I will provide an update as soon as I can.

I'd like to jump in on this one about the device's name: the Web Player and the Spotify app show the device's model, set by the manufacturer. So for example, I own an Asus ROG 5: when I'm listening on my phone and open the desktop app, it will show the following: ASUS_I005DA, which is my phone's model, set by the manufacturer. Your Nord 2 should also show up as DN2103 on other networks, or when paired with bluetooth to another device.

 

As for the webpage crashing, you can try clearing the site's cookies and data and make sure you allow all 3rd party cookies for the Web Player (they could be blocked by the browser or an extension). If possible, try playing through the Web Player on another browser that you don't normally use to see if the issue is present there.
