this makes no sense. I can't add the ability to download on my new phone because it says I have too many devices and now am just stuck with no solution. If it deactivated the last used that would be fine but it doesn't do that ... is it because I am a family account?

Hola como elimino los dispositivos en que he descargado música para poder descargarla en mi Teléfono

Why did Spotify remove this function? Now I simply can't use it offline anymore, I've uninstalled it from all my devices and I can't let any of them off-line anymore. What can I do?

Hi @GiulioPasini!

It's recommended you reach out to the folks over at Customer Support (if you haven't already), as they might be able to clear the cache on their end.

There's also this idea about bringing back the list of offline devices on the account page which you may find interesting, so feel free to check it out and share your feedback.

The Community is always here if there's anything else you need assistance with.

Take care!

I cant beleive that Spotify has removed the function that a User can use to remove devices that they have control over.. Jesus I have looked for 2 hrs trying to find out how to remove devices so i can have it on my old due to upgrades. What does it take to get this done ??? talk about being controlled  when I am paying for the privillage.. can some admin remove ALL of my devices so I can then reload on my pc, phone and tablet.. cant beleive this is so hard..fml

Hey @bigk2hc,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

You can refer to the reply from @Yordan for an answer on how you can get the unused offline devices uncoupled from your account.

Hope this clears things a bit,

Cheers!

Hey @Likin_cartman,

Thanks for your reply.

In this case, as mentioned above in this thread, if you have access to the devices on which you previously downloaded content, you can manually remove it in your settings app.

If you don't have access to them, you can always contact our Customer Support team, so they can help you remove the cache from their side. You can find out how to contact them here.

so let me get this straigt: you guys REMOVE a well-used and often used function and now users have to VOTE to bring it back ? where is the sense in that ? why don't you aks users BEFORE you remove such a vital function? example: on a trip my laptop and two phones were STOLEN - now I have a new laptop and new phones - but since the theft is only a week ago there is no "long not used" device... so ut was a dumb decision to remove the function with which I could have solved that issue right away..

Yo estoy experimentando el mismo problema, necesito eliminar todos los dispositivos que estan offline para poder descargar en otro dispositivo , por favor

It doesn't automatically remove a device. It just says that I havo to remove a device and when I click OK it doesn't download. And the problem is that I can't manage my offline divices anymore.

Marked as solution

Yo need to contact the support - they now can remove devices

Just changed my phone and now it won’t allow me to download onto my new phone as it says out of of line devices

Same Problem, can´t download songs on my new phone cause it say´s i´ve already used to much devices for offline using. How can I solve the problem? I allready logged all devices out and restarted my phone. Btw I don´t have access to my old phone where I downloaded many Songs.

I logged off my old iphone and upgraded to my new one and now I can't download offline music. **bleep**! taking up my gb plan for ATT>

What if it's the MOST used device I want to decommission (e.g. upgrade, replacement)?

My backup devices will NEVER been seen as more used than what was my "hours a day, every day" device, and are now useless as backup devices with the risk that when I need them, their offline content may have been wiped.

Once again Spotify, thanks for dictating how I "choose" to use your service.

Hi, I'm still encountering this problem. It says I don't have any more offline devices, but I haven't downloaded on any device yet. Can you remove devices for me, if there are any?
