My Question or Issue

When I originally set up premium family my son used my login. Now I want to separate our playlists etc. My son doesn’t want to change over to his own account as he doesn’t want to lose his history etc

I am happy to move to a new account but my email and credit card are attached to this account.

if I change the email on my account to my sons email and and cancel the premium subscription and then set up a new account with my email and add the premium bit will this solve the problem? Is it possible to do this?

Hey @NickiF,

Thanks for reaching out.

It's definitely possible to do it like that 🙂

  1. Change the account's email address here.
  2. Cancel the current subscription
  3. Sign up for a new account here using your email address.
  4. Subscribe to Premium Family once the subscription on your old account has ended.
  5. Send an invite to your son so that he can accept it using the account that's now under his email address
  6. Done!

Also, keep in mind that, if any members of the current Premium Family plan have switched from a different Duo/Family plan to yours within the past 12 months, they won't be able to join the new plan until 12 months since they last switched plans have passed.

I hope this helps.
