My Question or Issue
Hi, my Spotify username changed to random numbers and letters. I didn't do anything.
I didn't wanted to change my username. Is my account hacked? How can I fix this?

Hey @5150s, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

This is expected behavior. Your username is designed to identify you on Spotify, so it can’t change. But you don’t need to remember it to log in. You can just use your email address, and password.

Although, you can add or change a display name which replaces your username. More information on this as well as the steps can be found in this support article.

Jumping in to add a little something to what @Billy-J already explained. It'd be useful if you take a look at this Spotify Answer as well since it's possible you might've created your Spotify account through Facebook. These steps can help you use your Facebook-name as a Spotify display name.   

Make sure you try all steps and check if you notice any difference afterwards.
