My playlists and premium subscriber status got erased

My playlists and premium subscriber status got erased

I've been a paying subscriber for about 2.5 years. Today when I log in, it says I don't have my playlists, contacts, or premium subscriber status. I was charged $9.99 earier this month so I know my subscription is current.

Can someone please check my account and fix this? I can't use spotify at all until this is resolved.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

It sounds like you might have accidentally created and logged into a duplicate account.

Try following the steps outlined in this post and see if they can get you back into your original account. If not, you will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to assist you further with this.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

No help yet from Spotify after contacting support early yesterday. Anyone over there listening?

If you replied to the automated email, someone should normally get back to you within 48 hours. If not, give us a shout here with your 8-digit case number and we can escalate it further for you.

Support contacted me and told me they were not able to find my premium account or my playlists. That's playlists from 2.5 years of being a paying subscriber all vanished. Oh and I'm still being charged and even that can't be canceled apparently.

Can another person at Spotify please investigate this and try to fix?

Just keep replying to support, they will get to the bottom of it eventually. They should be able to track it down using your billing details.

Unfortunately support has been unable to locate my account, even with all of this information: name, birthdate, billing address, credit card number and Facebook account.

I'm not sure what is wrong with Spotify's biling systems to lose the account of a paying subscriber of 2.5 years. To add insult to injury, the support person is unable to cancel my subscription and I will continue to be charged $9.99 per month until I myself call my credit card company and have Spotify's charges blocked.

What absurd treatment of paying customers!
