THE WHOLE POINT OF THE FACEBOOK CONNECTIVITY IS TO BE ABLE TO SHARE YOU MUSIC & SEE WHAT YOURE FRIENDS ARE LISTENING TO YET THIS SEEMS TO BE THE HARDEST THING TO SO IN SPOTIFY. INSTEAD THERE ARE LOADS OF COMMERCIAL SPONSORED ARTISTS BLOCKING UP THE FEED. WHAT THE HELL ?? BEEN TRYING TO FIND A FRIEND ON SPOTIFY NOW FOR 3 DAYS USING ALL METHODS IN THE FORUM. WHY IS THIS SO HARD ?????

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

There have been some complaints about the new social system, hopefully these will be addressed in future updates. The main feedback thread about the new client is here if you would like to add your opinions there. There is also a summary post discussing the social changes here. 

If you are finding it hard to find your friend, then the easiest way to find them normally is to get them to send you a link to one of their playlists, since you can easily navigate to their profile from there.

when you say get them to send you a link to one of their playlists....do you mean doing this via Facebook?

I don't want to link my SPotify to facebook because I really don't want the entire world knowing my music tastes.  I do have just a couple of friends I want to share with privately.

How can we follow each other if we're not linked on Facebook, or not friends on facebook?

okay, I found how to grab the http link and did it that way, seems to be working.

It's a shame this isn't easier to use sans a Facebook link.  Believe it or not, not everyone wants their entire life advertised on a social network!
