Spotify in offline mode still uses data??!!

Spotify in offline mode still uses data??!!

I'm a premium member using spotify on offline mode. I also have mobile data turned off to spotify, and offline mode is turned on.

I can still play all tracks when the phone is in airplane mode, so I know that the tracks have been downloaded and are on my phone.

Yet, when listening to Spotify for a couple of hours a day, I chew through 250mb of data.

I'm at a loss as to what to do to stop churning through the data as I'm getting hit with excess data charges and have finally narrowed it down to Spotify!!

For whatever reason, when data is availible, Spotify has a habit of using it. While not ideal, if you go to your phone's data settings you should be able to restrict Spotify from using any data at all. You'll need to switch this back on whenever you want to update playlists/once every 30-days, but it's a solution (albeit not great). Sorry that I don't have anything better.

I'm sorry, I should have added that I have "Use Cellular Data" switched to off in IOS settings also! It still uses data!! If this is "normal" it's a bit of a dealbreaker for me.....
