Student Discount - Names Don't Match?

Hello Spotify community,

I have a small predicament with signing up for the Spotify student discount. I am already a Premium user and recently learned of the discount so of course I wanted to pursue it. However, my first and last name on my Spotify account do not match my name on my university records, because my legal first name is different than the name I go by. I uploaded a transcript but was rejected most likely due to this reason. 

Considering this, I was wondering what I could do to verify my identity? I have a number of different ways to prove that I attend the university, including my ID card which says both my legal name and the name I go by, but unfortunately our ID cards do not state the current term as Spotify identity verification requests. 

Please let me know what I can provide to verify my identity.

I would suggest you get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and see if there is anything they can do to manually verify you.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
