Using Spotify authentication instead of facebook authentication method

Using Spotify authentication instead of facebook authentication method

Hi,

I have created my spotify account years ago over facebook.

Now I want to delete my facebook account and want to use a normal spotify account.

What I did:

I've followed the steps which are described here (option 1):  https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Answers/I-want-to-disconnect-Facebook-from-my-Spotify/ta-p/...

and now I have a deactivated Facebook account and a separate Spotify Password. Does this mean that I can now safely delete my facebook account and login to my spotify account with my email I used to login to facebook with my new Spotify password ?

In other words: Do I have now a normal - non facebook - login for my spotify account?

Hi there @MaxPauer,

thanks for reaching out !

If you've successfully disconnected your Facebook account from your Spotify account, you will be able to log in using your newly created password and email only.

The Spotify Answer guidance page includes all steps needed to disconnect the two so there aren't any further steps needed here.

Let me know if you have any further questions 🙂
