What does Spotify consider a "Device"?

Solved!

What does Spotify consider a "Device"?

Newbie Dave here, I signed up for Spotify Premium last week and really enjoying it so far!!  I understand I can use Spotify on 3 devices with my account - What is a device?  At work I use the Spotify Web Player,  At home I use the Spotify App on my desktop.  I only listen to spotify when I'm connected to the internet, NO offline usage!!  I have a tablet at home and I'm thinking about using WiFi to connect my tablet to the internet and then use the Spotify Web Player instead of me having to sit at my desktop for 3 or 4 hrs. straight.  Will my tablet be considered a device?  With my home PC, work PC and Tablet - will I have used up all my 3 devices allowed?  I DO NOT want to listen to music OFFLINE!  Tks for any replys in advance - Your favorite Werewolf!!

Hello!

The 3 device limit is used for the Offline usage on the devices.

You can download playlists on up to 3 devices per Premium account.

As you said, you don't use Offline mode, this means that you shouldn't worry about this number.

Now,There's no limit on how many devices you can use your account.

Although, there's a limit on how many devices you can play at the same time Spotify on.

If you play a song on any Spotify client, then play another song on another client, the first device will stop playing.

Hope my explanation helps!

Let me know if you have more doubts 😉

Hope this helps! ♫
