Why can I not change my country?

My Question or Issue

I have premium and according to Spotify I should be able to change the country. However, when I try to change my country it says: Du bist für dieses Abo leider nicht berechtigt. Hier sind weitere Möglichkeiten, dir Spotify Premium zu holen. Translation: Unfortunately, you are not eligible for this subscription. Here are other ways to get Spotify Premium. Why is this and how can I change it?

Since you have Premium, in order to change the country you'll need to update your payment method to one that's issued there. If you're still getting an error, you can try the following:

1. Cancel your current subscription.
2. Wait until your Premium time expires and your account reverts to free.
3. Once you've switched to free, log in on your account page to update your country.
   
   Note: Your new country or region only shows when you’re actually there. If you created your account with Facebook or Apple, you also need to change your country or region settings with those services.
