Why do I get a password change message every week?

Why do I get a password change message every week?

I only use Spotify on my smart TV, but I still get a weekly request to change my password, saying there's been a log-in detected on another device. It's a real pain having to keep logging-in using the TV

I’m sorry to hear this. This is an Ongoing Issue that Spotify is investigating related to some users receiving password reset emails, which sounds similar to what you're describing. Feel free to have a look here for more details. I'd also like to note that Spotify believes there are no risk for your accounts and that the emails can be disregarded.
