My Question or Issue

I am no longer needing Spotify but my son would like to continue using it and paying for it. I am the plan manager, and I have changed from a family plan to a single plan.  He is paying for it, but I want his info to be on the plan manager.  If I cancel the current subscription, I'm sure he will lose all his playlists.  How can he be the primary user on the new individual premium account when it rolls over in August?

There isn't a way to automatically switch the plan manager to a new one, and the only way to 'switch' plan managers would involve canceling subscriptions and subscribing to the Premium Family plan. Rest assured, no one will lose any saved content that they have on their account and everyone will still have access to their accounts as a result of this change. 

You, the plan manager, of the existing Premium Family plan can cancel the plan, and then a different member of your residence (your son), can start a new Premium Family plan as the plan manager. You'll cancel the current plan, and at your next billing date, the accounts of each member of the Premium Family plan will switch to the free plan. At that time, the plan manager for the new Premium Family plan (in this case, your son), can start the plan here and then invite the other members.

Please keep in mind that to accept the invites, members must live at the same address as the plan manager. Also, members can only switch between Premium Family (or Premium Duo) plans once a year (12 months).

I really wish there was a way to change the plan manager without cancelling. My husband doesn't listen to Audiobooks but i would love to, and the effort to cancel and rejoin would be an inconvenience.
