how to set up 2 factors authentication for Spotify account?

how to set up 2 factors authentication for Spotify account?

about last couple hours ago, I was listening to my playlist then my music was stopped and automatically changed song. A song that my spotify was changed to is a song that name with language which I've never seen before and at the same time, there is a badge on the bottom screen show that current song was playing on google chrome but which browser I use is MS Edge. I could feel that something went wrong at that moment. I reset my password and clicked on log out for every device. After that I'd realized my Spotify account was not set up multi-factor authentication. Later, I tried to find how to set up multi-factor authentication on spotify. I can't find how to set multi-factor please help!

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out!

It looks like your account might be getting accessed via a different PC. It's possible that you may have left yourself logged in somewhere. No worries though, the damage can be mitigated if you follow the steps from this FAQ article here under "Still have access to your account?".

I also recommend adding your vote to the following idea: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/All-Platforms-Other-2-Factor-Authentication/idi-p/101788... if you wish to see the 2-factor-authentication become an official feature for Spotify.

Many thanks! I hope this helps 🙂
