i can't change my email

i can't change my email

I am currently using an email for my spotify account, let's name this email "A". Previously, I made another account using an email "B". Now I want to change from email A to email B. Of course, 1 email can only be linked to 1 account. So, I closed the account for email B. But even when the account for B is closed., when I wanted to change my email in my account A into B, it says that email B is already taken eventhough I had already closed it.

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community. I'll try to help you clear things up.

 

First, can you confirm you have successfully closed your account ("B") following these steps? You can check this by trying to log in with your email "B" and password and seeing it's not possible to do so.

 

If your account was closed successfully but you're still having trouble using this email on another account, keep in mind that after closing your account, it can take Spotify up to 30 days to completely remove all your data.

 

In this case I'd recommend you wait this period of time and you should be able to use your email on another account after these 30 days (maybe sooner).
