spotify free first 6 months that account is active?

Solved!

spotify free first 6 months that account is active?

Hi

I've been using Spotify free since 16 september this year and today it said I've reached my time limit, while I thought the first 6 months your account is active the use of Spotify is unlimited?
Could someone explain this to me?

Thanks in advance!

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

This is most likely either caused by you creating a Spotify account early than you remember or your friends have a paid subscription which removes the adverts. The system automatically adds the restrictions 6 months from the date your account was registered, so there is no way for it to be wrong.

Hi Sofie,

You created your account in early February this year.

..according to our records, that is 🙂

Oh, then I didn't use it untill the 16th of september as that was the date I added my first favourite and I can't remember using it before that day. Well, then it just sucks that I didn't discover Spotify before as I do now...

Thanks for your quick answer!

Hi,

I've got the same problem... Spotify shows me I would have reached the time limit.

I can't actually remember when i downloaded Spotify, but I know some of my friends had it before me, because they recommended me Spotify. They still can listen to music, while i can't...

(Excuse me for my bad english :/)

Thank you 🙂

Ok, if the system can't be wrong it was my mistake... but I could swear they downloaded it before... and noone of them got a premium membership. I know because I talked to them yesterday 🙂

Thanks anyway 😄

Do you still offer the free 6 month trial?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

New accounts registered will receive 6 months of unlimited streaming on free accounts, although you will have adverts. After that you are subject to the restrictions outlined here. You can remove the adverts and/or restrictions at any time by purchasing a subscription.

Hi thanks for you answer!
How do I get them? I registered 2 days ago via facebook and I wasn't offered anything for 6 months! Only the 30-day premium trial!

Maybe I misread? I thought you would get 6 months of free Unlimited Plan?

If you have created an account, you need to download the Spotify client from here. After that is downloaded and installed, just log in with your account and enjoy listening 😉 You can search for tracks by using the search box in the top left of the client and make playlists etc.

Oh I see...thanks!

I though I had to do something with my account. Does it work for the mobile app too?

To use the Spotify mobile application on any device, you need to purchase a premium subscription. (Unless you are in the USA, in which case mobile radio is available on free accounts).
