what's your real sound quality ?

Solved!

what's your real sound quality ?

Hi,

since i'm interessed in buying a premium subscription, i read that you do not have all tracks at 320 kbps.

So why are you claiming to offer music at a bitrate of 320kbps for premium users ?

I mean, if we pay for premium, we deserve premium sound quality in my opinion.

The majority of the newest and most popular stuff are only available in 160 kbps.

I can only complain because of your false advertising.

One of my friend did a blind test between MOG and Spotify both on the computer and mobile phone, MOG clearly won out with better audio quality according to him.

I hope you'll be able to make things clear once and for all.

Hi jojo90,

High bitrate has been confirmed a good few times now. High bitrate on the desktop is 320 kbps (Ogg q9).

If you switch between normal and high, I do suspect that music in the streaming cache that has been cached at normal bitrate might not be replaced until pushed out.

Currently 99,9% of catalogue is in 320 kbps ogg for Premium users.

Also keep in mind that Extreme quality is not on by default, just in case someone use limited Internet, default is 160 kbps.

You can enable Extreme 320 kbps quality in settings from Edit - Preferences.

Just in case you want to feel the 320 kbps quality, enable that in Preferences end start to enjoy:

There are some folks from month to month reporting bad quality of Spotify saying there is no difference. But that's the problem, they don't change settings to Extreme quality. Also some old records are actually bad sounding, but this is another thing to talk about: old records.
