Andriod widget still showing music puased when app isnt open

For one reason or another,my widget still said that Spotify was still open and showing that the music was puased. I already entered and exited the app,but I just want an answer to this glitch.

Definitely strange that the widget is still open despite you having closed the app, although I have a hunch as to why that might be... When you say you closed the app, are you just hitting the HOME button on your device, or are you pressing the square APP SWITCHER button, and swiping the app away?

I ask because on my Galaxy Note 3, both the Spotify notification drawer and lockscreen widgets will still display if I "exit" the Spotify mobile app by pressing the HOME button. This is becasue my phone doesn't terminate apps immediately after pressing the HOME button, so that I can switch between active applications quickly.

Bringing up my active application switcher and swiping the Spotify app away will actually close both the notification drawer and home screen widgets. Keep in mind your phone will of course be different than mine, but the issue might be the same, so it's totally worth a try! 🙂
