Hi,
I have installed Spotify 0.5.8.27 version on HTC One X+. For offline playlist after about 20 minutes (the time changes everytime) the app goes crazy! It does one or many of below mentioned:
1) It skipps songs continuously, until reaches end of playlist
2) Keeps on going back to the start of the song that was being played
3) Activates google voice
4) Dials out last number from the call history
I am paying member of Spotify and using the app to train for marathon. It is impacting my training as it is annoying to get stuck with these problems whilst running.
I saw many posts on the community with similar problem though there is no solution nor any response from @SpotifyCommnityManager as to what is being done for this problem!
Surely everyone deserves explaination to the problem and when it is likely to be resolved!!!
Spotify get your act together!!

I have the exact same issue with the skipping, dialiing, google now activating. I followed all steps in the self troubleshooting guide and it did not help.
I'm pasting details following your template.
Description
See 1st post. The issue seem to ONLY occurs when i play music using a headset. Does not happen if plugged in my car (Aux) or phone speakers
What are the steps you took to get to the error/issue?
1. Make a playlist available offline (tried extremely high, then high quality)
2. Play music (headset)
3. Turn off screen
What I expected to happen
Play songs without the player skipping.

Curious that this only happens with a headset. If this is one with a built-in mic, it is almost as if the app is simulating headset button presses. I'd suggest sending in a contact form.
That's exactly right. I've tried with with a headset that does not have a built-in microphone and it does not exhibit any of the odd behaviour. I would of course rather use the one with built-in mic as the soud quality is better, and convenient to answer phone calls. I wonder if other people that experienced that issue were also using headsets with built-in Mics.
I'll send in a contact form
Thanks!
i have the exact same problem with my HTC One using headphones with mic adn listening to downloaded tracks. it starts off ok but after 30 or so mins the songs keep skipping all over the place...
I have this same problem with or without the headphones. it happens if i listen to the speakers on the phone and if i listen on a micless headphones.
I have a Samsung Galaxy II and it started skipping downloaded tracks ( I was playing in offline mode) some tracks played nearly all the way then other jumped after a few bars, it was all over the place. I thought it was some shuffle mode gone wrong. The same playlist had played fine before and with the same headphones ( they do have a built in Mic also). It is really annoying so I may use the iPhone version of Spotify if this does not get fixed ( maybe apple are paying for this ;-/ ). Basically the developers need to test it properly before releasing and headphones should not cause any issues. I played the same playlist again tonight in the arm chair, so perhaps it has something to do with motion ?

The other possibility is that the headset or the connection is faulty. You can check that by seeing if you get track skipping using the built-in music app.
