My Question or Issue

In Google Maps when you click on the Spotify button it is supposed to pull up Spotify in Car mode. This no longer happens, it just pulls up Spotify and puts google maps into PIP. It is very distracting, especially while driving. This was something I use daily so I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this issue and how to fix it.

Hey @trev57,

Welcome to the Community!

If you haven't done this already we recommend that you start with a clean reinstall of both apps because this can help resolve different performance issues. For Spotify you can follow the steps in this article (how to clear the cache is also included there) and for Google Maps you can check the info here.

On another note, could you let us know when this started happening? Was it after an update for example and have you toggled any settings?

If there's no change it'd also be great if you could send us some screenshots or even a video recording of what happens so we can also have a look. You can attach them via the Insert Image/Video options in the post editor. If the attachment is too big - we'd suggest that you upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it) or upload it as unlisted YouTube video.

Thanks and we'll be on the lookout 🙂
