[Android][Other] Fix Spotify icon on media session in notification shade (Android 13)

Solved!

[Android][Other] Fix Spotify icon on media session in notification shade (Android 13)

Currently, when a media session is active, the Spotify icon is replaced with a white square.

If the session is inactive (close Spotify completely via app switcher) then the icon will reappear.

It also has a much larger and snazzier play button that should be kept during active sessions.

Hey @MisterVega,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We moved your post from Ideas to the help boards as its content fits better here.

Since the Android 13 was recently implemented by Google changing some of their features, the Spotify app is not fully compatible yet. However, this issue could be caused by some damaged files stored in your device from previous versions. We'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app following the steps mentioned in this article.

This is often an overlooked step, but it's more thorough than a Quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

If the issue persists, include in your next response the Spotify version you're currently running.

We'll be on the lookout.
