My Question or Issue

While playing music volume randomly goes up to the maximum and song is glitching. It can be quite dangerous for earphones users (me). I had this problem few times before an update but now it happens more often. Any solutions?

i had the same issue.

do you also have your Spotify connected to another system? because that was the problem with mine

Hi there @Obaak,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Can you tell us when did this start happening and if it's happening when you're listening to music both on Wi-Fi and Mobile data? It'd also be helpful if you answer the question from @R4MAHYAM.

Also, it's always a good first step in troubleshooting any technical issue to do a clean reinstall of the app. This involves deleting the app cache. Follow this Spotify Guide for best results.

Let us know how you get on with this 🙂

Not the poster, but I just had the same problem happen. I had stopped listening to music long enough for the spotify icon to disappear from the top of my screen and had unplugged my headphones. When I plugged them back in and resumed the song the volume went to maximum and kept cranking itself back up until I closed the app and cleared the cache. I also don't have my account connected to any other device. I saw a post on the spotify subreddit where several other people had the exact same issue today, so it's definitely not some rare one off thing.

Hi, did someone find a solution? I have the same issue

Hi @Lukas2412,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for posting.

No worries. We suggest that you log out everywhere. You'll find this option by scrolling down here. Afterwards, reinstall the app on your device (you'll need to download your tunes again if you have Premium). Once this process is completed, restart your device before launching Spotify again.

Let us know if this helps.
