App crashing "new episodes" feed

My Question or Issue:

My app has an issue where it crashes when opening the "new episodes" feed. It has been going on for a couple of months (but I don´t know for exactly how long)

Having done some troubleshooting, I have narrowed the issue down to the following situation:

When a new episode of the show Pod Save America gets added to the new episodes feed, the app just closes itself when I open the new episodes feed to listed to it. It crashes before I press play on the episode.

It only crashes the first time I see the new episode in the feed. After that its fine until a new episode of that specific show gets released.

Have tried re-installing the app, deleting local Spotify files on my phone etc.

However, the only solution I have found is having to go into the Pod Save America feed itself every time a new episode is released. Once I have seen the episode in that feed, the app does not crash when I open the new episodes feed. I have also tried to auto-download new episodes, but that didn't fix the problem.

This is only an issue with this show. All other shows, including ones from the same publisher, are ok.

This is a really strange one, but really hope that someone can help me!

Can provide more info if needed, but my theory is that it has something to do with the loading of the episode specific "picture" which accompanies each episodes alongside the title and the description.

Hey!

While the original description in the post you mention don't quite match with my issue (hence why I wrote this post), a number of people have described pretty much the same issue in the comments on said post (comments I didn't initially see until you highlighted it for me). Hopefully you guys manage to sort this out soon, and thanks for the reply! 🙂
