App gets stuck\not responding on MIUI 10

My Question or Issue

From the latest Android app update, the app freezes (sometimes even the entire phone) when you click on the 3 vertical points of the song that need to open the menu.

I tried restarting the phone (was necessary) and also clean reinstalling of the app. None of them seem to work.

Would appreciate your help with a quick fix for this problem that doesn't allow me to use the app in general, basically.
