In most of my interactions with the Spotify app, it takes 1-2 seconds to respond. This has only been the case since last week. I've cleared my cache and don't have battery saving on. In the settings and in my playlist folders there is no delay. It occurs most prominently when:

- opening the 'Now Playing' tab

- all search bars

- opening the app from the Recent Apps carousel

- interacting with song options (credits, radio)

 

It does not occur when:

- pausing and unpausing music

- scrubbing through the timeline/song

- the app has good framerate and smooth scrolling

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome. 

 

We tried to replicate this behavior on our end, but the app responded as expected in the processes you mentioned, So in this case, and if you haven't tried before, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any additional cache that might be causing trouble. 

 

If the issue persists, would you mind trying with a different Wi-Fi connection to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one, you can use your mobile data to test it.

 

Lastly, include in your next response the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

We appreciate the information and the video you included in your response. Just to cover all the basics, would you mind confirming if you've tried the troubleshooting mentioned in the previous post to see if it makes any difference?

 

Also, it would be really helpful if you could include in your next response the exact Spotify version you're currently running. You can find it by following the steps mentioned in this article.
