Sounds like a corrupt cache. Did you follow the steps here to clear your cache after you uninstalled the app?

If not, try deleting the folder. Uninstalling the app. REBOOT.

Now install the app with your SD card inserted in your phone

I have the same problem! No clue how to fix it... I even emailed spotify and got no reply... Can't believe I'm paying for something I can't use...if anyone figures it out please let me know.

I'm having the exact same problem.  Tmobile, m8, latest version of spotify premium.  Restart of the phone will fix, but annoying.  Please fix.

I've already tried restarting my phone and I have even completely reset my phone, all without success.

I FIXED IT.  I had an SD card inserted into my device, and removing it fixed the problem (for now). However, although it is working now, I still find it inconvenient that I had to go to such lengths to make the app work. It's not a big deal to remove the SD card, but I would like to see Spotify look into this problem.

I think you're right because I just reset my SD card and it started to work again.
