My Question or Issue

Hi, I hope someone will be able to help me with my problem.

This morning, I decided to clean my phone a bit. So I deleted the 15Go of saved songs I had on Spotify, to then only download the songs I really wanted offline.

My first issue was that I was unable to download from cellular, even though I enabled the option in the settings.

I then uninstalled the app in order to reinstall it in a clean way.

Big was my surprise when I realised the version I got from the Play Store was the 1.5.3.2.

I had to directly download the APK from an external site to have the last version.

Is it a known issue?

I have exactly the same problem. Decided to reinstall Spotify today because it was so slow and now the only version I'm able to download from the Playstore is 1.2.5.3. How am I able to download the newest version? I do have Android 7.0, I am a long-term premium user and until this morning everything worked fine.

Same issue here: Pixel 3 XL | Android 9.0

Looks like the listing on the play store was updated today, but the version available is 1.2.5.3 which was updated on Sept. 5, 2014

My guess is someone goofed and submitted the wrong version into the Play Store.

Same issue here, uninstalled to clear internal storage but it turns out to be old version when reinstalled..

Issue seems to be fixed. I was now able to download the most recent version from Playstore.
