Application starts but an unreachable drawer prevent using the app

Application starts but an unreachable drawer prevent using the app

Hi, when I launch Spotify on Android, I am well logged in but the screen is greyed and I can interact with nothing at all. I have seen the content of the drawer once anouncing new features with Android 14 but I wasn't able to confirm it. Now, I didn't see the content but the backdrop is still here and the whole app is useless.

My Question or Issue

Can you fix this unreachable drawer? Also, my application is useless and I can't use my Spotify account I have paid for, so can I have a refund for this month?

Thank you

Update your Spotify from play store and clear data & cache. Hope its will be help ful.

I had issues with this before and they did nothing for a few months. eventually an update fixed the problem. it started again a day ago. wish they would stop breaking the app

I did this everyday in order to make this stuff better, but it's very annoying.

Also, I forget to mention it, but the screenshot was taken on the latest Spotify update: 8.8.92.700

Hey folks!

Thank you for reporting this 🙂

To anyone who hasn't done this already, please provide us with the following details:

  • Your affected device
  • Its OS version
  • Your Spotify app version (can also be located in phone settings -> apps -> Spotify -> Scroll to bottom)

And, to start troubleshooting things, let's see if removing the app's cached data would make a difference.
To do so, check the steps below:

  1. From the Android home screen, tap Settings > Apps.
  2. Find Spotify in your list of apps and tap on it.
  3. Select Storage & Cache.
  4. Select Clear Storage.

Keep us posted on how things go! We'll be on the lookout.
