My Question or Issue

My homepage on both my android app and desktop have both gone blank, no options to do anything. The desktop says please try again but thats it.

None of my friends appear to be having issues with their spotify.

I have already followed every step given to me before it's suggested I:

  • Logged out and back in.
  • Used the sign out of everything feature.
  • My app is fully up to date.
  • I cleared the cache.
  • I closed all running apps.
  • I uninstalled and reinstalled.
  • I cleared app storage.

Hey there @Tamovapapi,

Thanks for writing about this in the Community and for letting us know all the steps you have taken to solve this!

We see you have reinstalled. This time we'll ask you to do a clean reinstall on both devices. Use this guide for that - it's very important to follow each step as listed there.

Let us know what happened afterwards.

I've tried the solutions by-the-book but still the issue remains. The hompage refuse to show up. What to do?

Hey @stefabolous,

Thanks for following the steps by the book!

Please make sure you do this on your mobile device:

  1. Go to your device's Settings and clear the data there: Settings>Apps>Spotify>Storage>Clear data.
  2. Enable Permissions for Spotify: Mobile Settings> Apps> Spotify> Permissions. Allow everything you see there.
  3. Open the phone's Settings > search for "Optimise battery usage" > click on "Apps not optimised" and select "All" > search for Spotify and disable battery optimization.

Apart from that, are you also experiencing the issue on both the mobile and the Desktop device?

Keep us posted!

Somehow it resolved by itself. With your help in the
background I guess. The main thing is I've got Spotify back with homepage
and playlists. Thanks!
