Can't change download location

Android 8,1, latest Spotify, 64 GB SD card

I've been trying to change Spotify's download location to the sd card. There are a lot of solutions here that involve clearing Spotify's cache in Android settings, but that seems to be for older versions of Android. No option in 8.1.

There are also suggestions that I should reinstall Spotify and tap Settings->Storage, but that doesn't do anything. It can't be clicked. Each time I try to reinstall and download music it just keeps saving it in the internal memory.

Same thing happened with me, I thought I couldn't click on it. Turns out I was clicking on the wrong 'storage'. Scroll ALL the way to the bottom, and there's a storage option under 'Other'
