My Question or Issue

Hi,

i have the problem that i can't listen to local music with my speaker Denon Home 250 through WLAN.

I get the message "can't be played at the moment" Original in German: "kann zurzeit nicht abgespielt werden"

This happens with my Echo dot too.

Changing to Bluetooth with the Denon speaker let's me play local music.

Is there a way so I can choose the device and listen to local music?

Hi there @A4V

Thanks for the post.

Local files on Spotify can only be played on the devices that they are stored on - Computer or mobile phone/ table.

Local files can't be played over WiFi (Wlan) to your speakers. Bluetooth connection will work, as the music is essentially being streamed from your phone or PC and not from the speaker itself, which is what happens when you play music over WiFi with Spotify Connect.

Hope this explanation helps 🙂
