Chromebook cannot download songs to SD Card

My Question or Issue

I have a new Chromebook, and want to store downloaded songs onto an external SD card. I have changed storage permissions in Android settings. But in both the Android version of Spotify, and the Web version, there is no mechanism to direct Spotify to store downloads on the SD Card. When I download the songs get stored in the Chromebook internal storage, which is limited. Can anybody help please !

Thanks for reaching out!

Since you mentioned you've already toggled on the storage permissions for Spotify in your Chromebook's settings, you'll also need to change its default storage location, but since I don't have a Chromebook on hand, it'd be great if you can send a couple of screenshots of how the settings look like on the Android version of Spotify on your end and I can try to assist you further.

Another thing you can also try is installing Spotify directly on your SD card. You'll need to uninstall the Android version first and then install it again on your SD card.
