Chromecast audio problems

Chromecast audio problems

I've just purchased a Google ChromeCast Audio "puck". Working perfectly with TuneIn radio but a disaster with Spotify. It constantly drops out when casting from my Android tablet. Sound stutters and sometimes the cast device goes MIA from the tablet and music starts playing locally. I've tried every setting and quality but no change. The puck has perfect wifi signal. A previous Windows 10 device in the same spot worked perfectly for a month. Android tablet works perectly when not casting, so it's either the puck itself or the Spotify implementation. Any ideas?

There are some issues with Chromecast on 5Ghz wifi, if your are using that try using 2,4Ghz just to see if it makes a difference.

I have a similar issue. Sound crackles, especially with loud sound when listening to Spotify on my Chromecast audio. It is coupled via optical digital cable to a NAD receiver. 2.4 MHz wi-fi network. No problems listening to other apps, e.g. TuneIn. Quite an troublesome problem that I cannot find a solution to.

I have the same stuttering issues with Spotify. Lots of people complaining about that problem but no answer from Spotify. Google music works fine. It makes Spotify and chromecast audio impossible to use.

Similar problem here and cant seem to locate a resonable answer.

from Android or PC to Chromecast, constantly drops out/freezes and doesnt come back without skipping, restarting, or recasting etc.

For that matter, Chromecast only appears on the PC, once I link with my Android.

Whats annoying, is it worked fine, when this was a free service, then it was cut off. So I have decided to pay for Spotify Premium and now this, which was the primary reason I took a paid account. if it cant be resolved, I wont be subscribbing.
