Control access to devices for Spotify Connect

Control access to devices for Spotify Connect

Hi,

This is very similar to https://community.spotify.com/t5/Closed-Ideas/Spotify-Connect-Add-access-control-on-my-Connect-devic... which didn't receive enough support.

Every day for the past couple of days, I'm in a battle with some stranger(s) who is using my devices for streaming. My laptop (Mac OS X with the app) and my Android phone keep getting hijacked and I have to keep switching to my music again and again. Can I somehow remove the common devices that are connecting to mine? This happens when I'm walking outside or sitting in my office. It seems to be the same device ID each time, so I'm not sure how that is working.

How do I solve this? I'm paying for premium for right now, so I feel as though I shouldn't need to battle it out with strangers each day. I'd rather not put my device in offline mode, as I listen to streaming music. The strangers and I have very different tastes in music 😞

Hello @h4xnoodle

you can reset your Spotify Password here:

https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/

This will log out all Devices connected to your account 🙂

I hope this helped 🙂
