Data Usage Samsung Galaxy S4

Data Usage Samsung Galaxy S4

Hello everyone,

Spotify is announced as the app which used the most data on my S4 this month. Even if turned 2g

/3g off - it seems to use a high amount of data when i'm not using Wlan (i just listened to offline playlists) - because of that, i used all of my available 300mb just in a couple of days - at the beginning of this month. It makes me somehow angry, i guess you know why.

Hope you can help,

Cheers,

-Nick

The android application using more mobile data than it should is open as an unresolved (and randomly occurring bug) sadly:

Hi Peter,

thanks for your swift reply. Is there maybe a way to just block with another APP the mobile data usage of Spotify?

Couldn't find such a thing. But it would be a solution for everyone who has this issue.

Cheers,

-N

Hi. You could try putting spotify in offline mode from the settings and restrict background data for the app from the phone's data menu. This also shows whether the data usage was in the foreground or background by the way.
