My Question or Issue

I had (maybe still have) a problem in that I couldn't setup my Spotify to listen to downloaded music when offline.  One of the Community help articles suggested I do a clean delete and re-install, which I've done.  I can see, in 'My Library', the thumbnails of all the albums I had downloaded, (I think I have about 500) but incredibly it appears I have to manually re-download them all again?   Really??  This could take weeks.   Doesn't Spotify automatically do this for me?

Hey there, welcome to the Spotify Community!

As of now, there is no way to bulk-download all your saved items or all the saved albums. If you want to download all albums you have to manually do that for each of them.

However, you can add all the albums to a single playlist by drag and drop using the desktop app. Then download the playlist on your phone. You can sort the playlist by album.

In this way, you can have all your saved album content in a single playlist sorted by albums. Do note that this will not mark your albums as downloaded automatically but only the songs.

If you have a better idea, feel free to share the idea on the ideas board.

Let me know if you need help with anything else.

Thanks for the suggestion.  However, I would still have to drag and drop all my 500 albums one by one, so the number of "mouse clicks" would be about the same as re-downloading them one by one;   unless there is a way of selecting "all albums" in a single click before doing the drag & drop.

Hey there @splinternet

Thanks for getting back to us and apologies for the delayed reply.

We understand where you're coming from, but currently there's no way to select all albums at once and drag them to one playlist.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and will make sure to pass it onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience. Also, if that's something you'd like see in the app, you can submit an idea as @Amayy suggested previously.

If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.
