Hi. So, a few days ago I ran into this (I'm assuming) bug that keeps deleting the songs I've downloaded to listen to offline. As of right now I'm working on redownloading them, but this is the third night in a row this has happened and I'm afraid it'll happen again. Every morning I'll try to listen to a song and it'll play it for a few moments (after a delayed pause) then stop playing them all together. PLEASE HELP
(if needed my email is inertializard@gmail.com)
I am heaving the same issues. Downloaded a Playlist offline, and then one morning they are gone. Happens quite a few times to e right now. And mostly when I really needed the offline feature. Please help, this is the only reason for me to go to Premium.
Do the songs that you have downloaded have a green or grey tick next to them?

In this case, I would check your account details to make sure the premium side of your account is active. Maybe contact Spotify to see if there are any issues with the premium subscription. Regardless, with a functional premium account you should have the ability to toggle that download button.

So for some reason, the download button is toggling off and that is what is removing the songs from being an available offline song. This can happen if you log out of the spotify account or reinstall the app.
My suggestion is to keep an eye on it and make sure you only toggle that download button once. any song you put into that playlist will automatically download so you shoulnd't have to toggle anything!
enjoy the advert-free listening!

Yes, they have the gray tick and for a few moments a downloaded song will have a green tick instead, but the minute I go to listen to it the song will be deleted followed by my entire library.
I reported the problem to Spotify Tech Support yesterday, and they sent me the instructions to supposedly fix the problem I followed all of the instructions and reset the offline device (via the web), downloaded and re-install the lastest Spotify Version for Android (Kindle Fire). I set Storage to SD Card and I re-downloaded my 850 "saved songs" (for the 10th time). I checked several times to see if my downloaded songs were still there, and they were still there. GREAT!! Then 5 hours after the re-install I checked and all 850 songs were deleted again and Storage switched from SD card to Device.
This has been happening to Users since 2012, and is still happening. Not fixed after 4 years. I don't think that any Spotify Technicians even bother looking at Community Posts to see what problems users are having. I think I will be cancelling my premium account!!
Any suggestions of other music services that provide streaming via wifi to home entertainment systems or wifi speakers. I checked out Amazon Unlimited Music, but it doesn't look like they provide this feature.
This is still a problem. I have to constantly re download my songs. I am saving to sd card. It seem the download switch keeps deactivating and all my music is deleted. The option to save to sd card in settings keeps disapearing as well. Seems to be an issue witg recognising sd cards. No other app has this problem with the sd card and I have tried multiple sd cards. One of the reasons i have premium is to download the music to listen offline so quite frustrating.
This is one of many threads about the same problem of Spotify repeatedly deleting downloaded songs. If we all flooded Spotify Technical support at the same time with the same complaint, they might take notice and do something about it. I already contacted them and they gave their standard solution that they give everyone, which I tried Aand it was a waste of time and did not solve the problem, and then they closed the ticket.
