Downloaded tracks keep changing to waiting to download.

Started happening in the last few weeks I haven't changed anything in that time.

Again and again my downloads change to waiting to download and are stuck on that. I reboot my phone and all the downloads are back as before. 

It's happening in the middle of listening even when I have Internet connection. I am not using Spotify on any other devices.

Have you recently bought a new mobile phone?

Go to the following path on your android device:

Settings > Apps > Apps > Spotify > Permissions 

Then allow "storage". Close and restart the spotify app.

Thanks for reaching out! That's not cool but let's see what we can do.

Please try the following: 

1.Click on Remove All Devices here.

2. Do a clean reinstall.

3. Try what @mypideee suggested.

4. Go to Mobile settings> Apps> Spotify> Battery> Optimize battery usage> select top All (not optimized for apps)> Spotify> disable.

These steps made it worse. I followed them and now I can't download songs at all.
