I have Spotify on my Windows PC and Android phone. At the minute, I create MP3 playlists from my local library of MP3s on my PC, then sync these playlists using Spotify from PC to phone. To get it to sync a new or updated MP3 playlist, I have to close and force close the Spotify Android app then open it again. Is there a better and more graceful way of getting the app to sync MP3 playlists ?
I've tried creating temporary playlists to force a sync but this doesn't work.
Here are the details:
Spotify for Windows version: 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
Spotify for Android version: 0.6.5.183
Windows version: 8.0 Pro
Android version: 4.1.2 on Samsung Galaxy S3 4G I9305

I tried to put the android app in the offline mode and then back to online mode. In this way it update the playlist adding the new songs.
Ciao, Ilario
ps: still, an update button would be great!!

I'm on Windows 7 with latest desktop client and android app on my Nexus 7 running android 4.2.
If this isn't how it works for you, there may be an issue we can work on.
It works when you create the playlist. But if you add songs to a playlist already synch'ed, then the new songs are not downloaded on the android device. You have to let the android app disconnect from the internet (either by killing it or by switching it to a offline status). Then, when you go online again, the new songs are added.

Hmmmm.......let me try that.
Works fine for me. Adding tracks starts the synch process.
Ah. you could be right about the network.
Tried it and it does work. Thanks Ilario73. 🙂
