Get to the top of a podcast's episode list

My Question or Issue

I often go back and listen to old episodes of a podcast with almost 600 episodes. If I want to get access to the most recent episode, I have to scroll past up to 500 (way more, really -- they don't count the other releases) to get to it. And since the slide to see suggestions feature (ugh), I'm often interrupted by that. It's such a pain and I hate it. I used to be able to select go to podcast from an episode.

So far we've been unable to reproduce this on our end. Searching for specific episodes as possible and the full podcast can be accessed from them and you can then sort by ascending or descending date, among other options. Can you send us a screen recording showing the exact process you follow? That will help us see exactly what's happening and see if this is to be expected or if it warrants troubleshooting. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.

Of course I could go research the title I'm looking for and search that way, but there should be options within Spotify, imo. 

Note: sorting by date and unlistened keeps my place at 400, it just changes what direction I have to scroll.

Thanks for the video! I actually managed to reproduce this on my end and it happens even if I try my best to scroll "correctly".
We can let the right folks know about this 🙂 

For now though, with such podcasts your quickest bet would be using the 'Search' function when looking for episodes.

Oh and, as for the sorting, if you have any ideas for how sorting podcasts with too many episodes can be improved, I'd recommend posting an Idea about it on the forum!
Just make sure it meets our Idea Exchange guidelines before you do so! 🙌🏼

You start at episode one and none of the options you mention are listed anywhere. You have to click show more episodes about 50 times to get the recent ones. Spotify search sucks and searching say, episode 100, will only show episode 104

This indeed happens with all podcasts
