HTC One M8 - Spotify is broken for this phone! Can't stay online

This is rdiculous that this problem still persits for HTC One M8 owners. Subscribed for years, then this mobile connectivity issue arises, this is just an absolute deal breaker and it doesn't seem like a fix is even being looked into. Going to have to unsubscribe until this is fixed.

What issue is this?

Spotify works exactly the same on my M8 as it did on the S4 it replaced.

My only issue is Spotify forcing it's way to the 'front' an blocking the view of my sat nav app.
