Unfortunately you can't. Only the SPotify application contains the decryption key to be able to play tracks.

Spotify music is encrypted and can't be used to create ringtones.

How do you find songs on phone once downloaded to Samsung phone? I don't see the song I clicked download any where in folder

Downloaded spotify music is encrypted and stored in the folder android/data/com.spotify.music. You can't do anything with it.

You can't. And never will be as long as Spotify uses DRM.

They really should change that ringtone deal for subscribers though. It would be a nice perk to have; just maybe only let the individual that owns the account and created their ringtone have restricted access to those ringtones and be able to apply only their own custom ringtones, which would not be available for others. Just my two cents, I don't see why it would be difficult to implement and it would be greatly appreciated. All my music is through Spotify, so all the other apps for ringtones are pretty much useless. Even if it's just a second app that's created to use alongside the Spotify app which could decrypt the Spotify file sand place clips in a ringtone coding. I've subscribed to Spotify for a few years now, it would be nice to see them add some new additions like that. Otherwise, all in all, I must say I'm a happy customer though! Great company and getting better all the time, keep up the great work! Oh and just one other thing, we should be able to take some of the album art from songs on the Spotify app and add it as wallpapers and screen savers and what not as well - right through the app. Google of course generally works, for finding the album art, but not always and that can be a bit of a pain haha.

I am 100 % with you. I don't get it why they don't do it like the musixmatch app (although I have to say that a lyrics function should be implemented direct in the app). Hey Spotify, stagnation is regession 😉

I haven't tried musixmatch but if you have the SoundHound app it has lyrics
and if you're a premium subscriber then you can play the song and follow
lyrics like karaoke.

The problem is that it doesn't work with headphones. You have to pull them off or search the track with the app again... I rhink with SoundHound it's the same. All in all it is way more inconvenient than the former in-app lyrics function.

Suggestion to Spotify: To be able to use Spotify songs as ringtones, perhaps make it possible to use only 30 or 45 secs of a song. The subscriber can choose which 30 secs, but that's all that can be converted to a ringtone. I don't know enough about technology to know how possible that is, but it is a bummer that this is not one of the subscription privileges. It really should be.
