Hey there @lenacurc,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.

There is indeed a quicker way to add a song to your likes! When you're playing a song and enter the Now Playing view, you'll find a + button (that becomes a green check once you've saved the song either to your likes or to another playlist). It should look like this:

Once you tap it, the song will be automatically added to your Liked Songs playlist. If you want to add a song that's already in one of your personal playlists, you can also tap the green check and a menu will pop up giving you the option to add that song to another playlist such as your Liked Songs.

Hope this sheds some light on the situation. The Community will be here if anything else comes up.

Cheers!

That's the rub - i want to know how to do the same thing but with songs I'm not currently listening to.

Switching songs through NowPlaying just to click that ️  sign isnt really any quicker than what i recorded.

This used to all be one click. I dont understand why it isn't anymore.

I have added a clarification to my original post above, please see.

Hey @lenacurc,

Thanks for your reply.

You should be able to add songs (you did not add before to other playlists or your liked songs) to your Liked Songs playlist from the three-dot menu as well:

Since we noticed the song was not part of your Liked songs or one of your playlists, we'd suggest you log out and log in twice in a row onto your Spotify account, to see if you find the Add to Liked Songs option. This could sound a little bit odd, but this way the system will force a resync of your account in general.

After that, go to the Today's Top Hits and select a song’s three-dot menu to see if this continues to happen. Make sure the song is not part of your playlists or your Liked Songs playlist.

If you'd like to share some suggestions on how this could work better, we'd suggest you post your idea here. Our ideas board is a place where Spotify users can share their feedback in the form of ideas, to improve the Spotify experience for everyone. You can post there, but make sure your suggestion follows our Idea Exchange Guidelines, so others can share their support easily.

We'll be on the lookout!

Unfortunately this isn’t what I am asking. I have added a clarification to my original post above, please see.

Hi @lenacurc,

Thanks for keeping in touch.

Thanks for the clarification, and as @AlejaR mentioned in our previous reply, there is now an option in the 3 dot menu to add any song you're not listening to directly to your Liked songs. The option says 'Add to Liked Songs' and you can find it by clicking the 3 dot menu next to the desired song. You can see how it looks in the screenshot that was sent by Aleja R. Or here's another example just in case:

We can see in the video that you don't have that option yet, so make sure your app is up-to-date. If it is, you can try performing a reinstall of the Spotify app. No worries, you won't lose any content, but you might need to download your offline music again if you have Premium.

We'll be here in case you have any questions.

My app is up to date. This forum isn’t useful.

Hi @lenacurc,

The feature is now available, so if your app is up-to-date and you still don't see it, you can try performing a reinstall. Now, some features don't show up immediately for all users. No worries, this doesn't mean you won't have it, it just takes time until it's released for everyone. Just make sure you keep the app updated to guarantee you get the latest features and fixes.

If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.
