I feel as though Spotify messes with my Galaxy S4

I feel as though Spotify messes with my Galaxy S4

So basically, i decided to finally get Spotify and got my 7 days free premium and was enjoying it. However problems have only happened.

This is basically what happens. My S4 is up to date, and im assuming the Google Play Store is giving me the up to date spotify version. Ill log in and "download" my offline playlist that i created and it will start playing, however after a few songs, there will be no sound at all, even though it says its playing. The volume is up and skipping the song makes no difference. I hold on my home button and close the app and re-launch it only for it to not load back up at all, just a black screen. Opening other apps just crashes them and then my phone will freeze and nothing will work (power button, home button and volume buttons) for 1 - 2 minutes. Then when it finally unfreezes it restarts its self. I then go and uninstall Spotify and my phone starts going fine again. I had no problems with my phone at all since i downloaded the app (I got my phone last Christmas so its farely new).

Thinking that its just a bad download, i re-download it and it does the same thing, but when its uninstalled i have no problems.

I have "fresh" re-installed the app following a guide 4 times now including with and without an SD card, and with and without headphones, with and without an internet connection (thanks to premium offline playlists), closing the windows version on my computer and keeping it open and power saving mode on and off.

Model Number: GT - I9506

Android Version: 4.4.2

Spotify Version 2.8.0.1081

Does anybody know what i could do to try and get this working?

Side note, its working fine on my Windows Computer and have no problems with it.

I wonder. Can you try installing an older version (possible v2.6 - link to it in my signature)?

This is the second time I've seen a Samsung user have this issue since the last update. Possibly a device specific issue.
