Yeah, so... i've been seeing a lot people asking for a "choose destination" feature and reporting issues with forcing spotify to move to the external SD since it is a quite storage consuming.
I thought it was going quite well with the solution already provided here at the community but now my main storage is full and Spotify now screwed up on itself and can'r tell the Internal and the External apart. which honestly was just a matter of time until it happened.
so. i'm here to seek any practical solution to forcibly drag spotify into the external SD.
I've already tried all of that moving/reinstalling basic steps, but i would like a position from Spotify devs, it is unnaceptable requiring root for fixing that. even tho i can use some aggressive measures to fix that, i would like to, as a normal user, just put Spotify's **bleep** in the External Storage since this is an App with a storage consuming nature on its own. Having a 8GB+ app counting inside the 4GB or less Internal storage simply messes up the device's calculations about storage space.
This has been around for quite a time an i don't see any serious position from Spotify itself.
C'mon guys

Ive found out a solution myself for stuff regarding adoptable storage:

It's not clear from your post - but have you tried the storage selection at the bottom of the settings screen within the Spotify app?
You can use this to move your offline cache to/from your SD card if available.
there's no such thing at the settings
What android version are you running? If you are using android 6, did you format your SD card as iternal storage?
EDIT
Just noticed android version in te subject. I'll guess you formatted the SD card as internal storage so the OS no longer shows a seperate SD card which is why you don't get the storage option.
Maybe read this.
That explains a lot, it's a bit sad that a space consuming app like spotify has no option to be moved into the adopted external altogether.
But with that in mind, i can get my phone to recognize my one SD card as two and try some exotic ways to work this around.
thanks for the help!
