Is my phone compatible with Spotify?

Solved!

Is my phone compatible with Spotify?

Spotify should get along happily with most Android devices on the market running the v2.3 'Gingerbread' firmware.

For later devices, try installing the Preview version of the new Android app, available at http://www.spotify.com/download/previews/ - this should be compatible on all devices up to 4.0

It should be fine - the latest release through Play works fine on ICS and the list of mobiles on the page is now out of date.

I'm going to ping Richard and suggest this thread be de-stickied or removed completely and that page updated

As licensed has pointed out, the new Android app should be compatible on most devices now on Android 2.3 and above. So I've un-stickyed this thread.

If you find any further devices which are incompatible (having gone through all the usual troubleshooting let us know) and we'll see if we can get a list together.

Bear in mind that we're aware of landscape mode not being supported at the moment and we're working on it! For now, Spotify might just be a bit sideways on Android tablets.

I use Spotify Premium since several months. Since 2 days ago I can´t because it seems that my phone (Galaxy Young  Android 2.6) is not good enough for some new version. Can I do anything or I should quit my account?

Unfortunately, the latest version of spotify won't run on older devices - see this thread for a discussion on this.

Is Spotify app working on Alba 4" work Android kit kat 4.4 or Alcatel onetouch pixi 3 with Proprietary 5.1 operating system?
Thanks,
Jo

@Joannajoanna12 should do, but I don't have those devices to test, the specs seem ok
